PREPARING TO THRILL: ZOMBIES AROUND THE WORLD UNITE TO THRILL THE WORLD!

Thrill The World Is An Annual World-Wide Simultaneous Dance Of "Thriller" For World Records And Charity. A Global Tribute To Michael Jackson. Come support @TTWNYC and join us forTHRILLDAY2014 in Coney Island Saturday, October 25 from 3pm-7pm with an afterparty dinner to be held at Ruby's Bar and Grill. Collections of new pajamas and new childrens books will be collected at the event for The Pajama Program NYC.

The main THRILLER dance will be held at 6pm EDT. Rehearsals start mid September and will be held every Wednesday from 8pm-9:30pm and Saturday from 4:30pm-6pm at 440 Studios, 440 Lafayette Street near Astor Place. Visit our website www.thrilltheworldnyc.comto register.

About Us:

See the lady in the top hat and zombie contacts? That's me, AMADA aka Mama Zombie/Lady Liberty Zombie. I am the director of this non-profit organization called Thrill The World NYC and I'm alsoco-chair of the officialThrill The World Global Team.

This organization (TTWNYC)was founded in 2009 after I was invited to create an event in my city. I was originally looking for something fun to do while losing weight and I came across YouTube videos and DVD's teaching the "Thriller" dance as part of a global event called Thrill The World.

After registering New York, I followed the advice of the Thrill The World website and reached out to see if anyone was interested. I was surprised by the amount of Michael Jackson fans who wanted to partake in this adventure. After he died on June 25th, what started as a fun Halloween community event quickly turned into a legacy.


And now,we have participants who join us from the TRI-STATE area andall over the world to participate in our New York City event. Over 500 people registered in 2009 and the list just keeps on getting bigger which means we need a bigger venue and better equipment, all of which costs money. So we really need your support to help us reach our goals!

How much do we need?

We have decided to focus on making THRILL DAY the best it can be!We need close to about $2000.00 to support our October 2014 goals.

The approximate breakdown of the costs are as follows:
-Insurance certificates ($300+)
-Permits (park $25 + $45 sound permit)
-DJ/Speaker System (being donated by DJ Kasper &Charles Thompson ofBlue Galaxy Entertainment, but we would like to give them eacha tip for their time) ($150 each so $300)
-Generator Equipment ($75+ including gas)
-Truck Rental ($200+ including gas to and from Coney Island)
-Dance rehearsal space ($700for 11 classes which are90 minutes each)
-Water Bottles for all ofour dancers ($40) *Table and chair rentals ($150+)
-Decorations for the after party being held at Ruby's Bar and Grill($100)
-Marketing (website, fliers, etc)($200+)
-Other misc. expenses that may occur leading up to the event ($100)

If we raise over budget, this will definitely help because any extra funds our campaign receives we can use left-over funds to go towards next year's events.

Thrill The World NYC's Impact This organization is not just about the dance or about Michael Jackson. This is about building a community of amazing artists and volunteers who every year come together to show support to their local communities. Thrill The World NYC isn't just an annual event, we have grown to sharing our love of dance all year round. We have partnered with numerous companies, radio stations, and corporate events to continue to raise awareness as well asvolunteered our time to read with the Pajama Program kids and teach the Thriller dance for Wellness Week at various schools. We want to be able to continue this work and appreciate any assistance you can give.
