Tristan’s Battle with Cystic Fibrosis

On Valentine's Day 2017 I was blessed with a sweet little boy named Tristan. A day before he was to turn a month old I received a call that changed our lives. They told me that my sweet little boy had come back positive for Cystic Fibrosis on his newborn screen. After a couple more tests we confirmed that he indeed did have CF. This news felt devastating for our family who knew very little about this terrible disease. After processing I knew that I wanted to get involved in the CF community and do what I could to raise awareness and help add tomorrows to my sons and many others lives! We quickly signed up for the Great Strides event that was only a short few weeks away at the time and it was a great event to be apart of and welcomed in to a community that understood the pain we were feeling at the time! Now we are coming up on our 2nd year with the event and I hope to be able to raise more awareness for this diesase that many do not know much about! There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them and my son! I hope you will support me in my efforts to raise awareness and funds to help those living with this terrible disease!

Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease.
