In 2016 Adam Hayden was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer called glioblastoma (GBM), the same cancer that killed Senator John McCain and thousands more each year. He was only 34 years old, and he and his wife Whitney had three young kids at home. Their youngest was only 8 months old when Adam was diagnosed. Despite the grim prognosis, Adam and Whitney have traveled the country and dedicated themselves to raising awareness and research dollars to improve treatments for brain tumors and ultimately to discover a cure. Together with Revery chef/owner Mark Henrichs, they launched the #TumorTakedownTailgate in 2018 to benefit National Brian Tumor Society. In just two years they've already established the TTT as highly anticipated annual event, so far raising over $38,000 to benefit glioblastoma research.
