About this campaign

This is a great cause to help support an amazing husband, father, brother, son and soldier. Tyrell was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in July of 2014. It has been a tough time for him dealing with everything that comes with it, including chemotherapy treatments, radiation, and of course multiple testing's and blood work. He is a strong fighter and is getting through this with a positive attitude and of course with all of his family and friends behind him.

Tyrell Was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer July of this year 2014, which we later found out metastasized to his liver. He was complaining alot of side pain and sharp pains when he breathed. This went on for about a week until he had me feel his side and that is when I got worried because I felt a very hard spot. The next day I called right away to his Doctor and explained everything. They actually got him in that same day and that is when our world changed. He went in and the doctor felt the lump so he ordered a chest x-ray, which came back nothing but the doctor was still concerned so he ordered an ultrasound as well as a blood transfusion due to a very low blood count to be done the next day. He went in and got the transfusion and then the ultrasound, we then left the hospital and waited for the doctor to call with the results. He called us that same night to tell us there were a few abnormalities on the ultrasound which looked like possible cancer, but he wasn't sure. He told us to enjoy our 4th of July weekend and to come in first thing Monday. We went in that Monday to see the doctor and that's when he told us he did discuss with some other specialists about Tyrell's results they were all very concerned it was cancer, so he told us they wanted to do a CT scan right away along with a colonoscopy. He told us to go pack a bag and head to the hospital which Tyrell would be at for a couple days. When we got to the hospital he had his CT scan that afternoon but the colonoscopy wasn't scheduled tell the next morning due to he had to clean his system out first. He went and got his CT of his abdomen and that right away showed spots on his liver which made us even more worried. He did his drink that night for the test the next day which was fun for him. Tyrell woke up the next morning and went and got the colonoscopy done, I was not long tell the doctor came and spoke with me. That is when he told me that Tyrell had a very large tumor on his colon and that is how it metastasized to his liver. Due to the severity of the tumor it will never be able to be removed, which is why they are saying with his illness they give him 5yrs to live. It was the worst news anyone could ever receive especially at this young of an age. But as of now the chemo treatments he gets every 2 weeks is killing the cancer on his liver and that is why he is now doing radiation as well once a month, that is to make sure it completely kills the cancer on his liver for now, but the tumor is still to large to remove. So for now the treatments are to just make sure the cancer doesn't spread anywhere else for the time being. We are staying positive that he will be an amazing father and husband for many, many yrs. to come. Tyrell has a long road ahead of him but we are doing everything we can to keep it as easy as possible for him. Tyrell has 2 amazing children that make him laugh everyday and keep him going. My job as his wife is to just love him nonstop and do whatever I can to make him happy everyday. It is a battle and journey we WILL get through.
