About this campaign

The COVID-19 pandemic is a serious global health threat, it has affected over 200 countries and territories around the world with more than 20,000,000 confirmed cases. As a multicultural student-led community service organization, BranchOut! was impacted by the coronavirus outbreak as well. Due to the physical distancing guidelines, over 1,500 of our mentees from 15+ locations/ organizations around the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area lost the opportunities to receive free mentorship this summer from our student mentors. Knowing that the best way to prevent and slow down transmission is be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, BranchOut! decided to further expand awareness on both the issues of education achievement gap and coronavirus pandemic through this fundraiser. Finally, we'd like to give a special shoutout to one of our proud student mentors: Songyi Pang for this amazing design. Thank you, Songyi!
