Pocket Walk It

About this campaign

Pocket Walk It is a student group whose goal is to help children live healthier lives. We live by our motto “Small Steps For Big Beginnings” (#SS4BB). This motto reminds us that by taking a few small steps, whether that's in the form of daily exercise or metaphorically, we can be apart of living a healthier lifestyle and accomplish large goals.

With advancements in the food industry, rather than a more well-balanced diet and exercise plan, we have individuals on opposite ends of the health spectrum. On one end, we are plagued with food swamps: areas overstuffed with an abundance of innutritious, fast food options. Each t-shirt you buy helps give children a healthier lifestyle. All proceeds will be donated to the PHA. Buying a shirt will help many disproportionately affected children to live a healthier life.

One in three children is overweight or obese. The increase in obesity is leading to increases in diabetes, heart disease, and many other diseases. PHA’S (Partnership For A Healthier America) goal is to help all children live a healthier life, free from obesity, heart disease, and other health related diseases. The PHA uses the power of the private sector to bring everlasting change!
