About this campaign

Wear your WARRIOR WYATT Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome t-shirt during procedures, operations, appointments, and whenever you feel like it!
We need to sell at least 37 shirts to print. Ifwe make any profit, all will go toward medical costs associated with Wyatt's care. (ex. trips to and fromhospitals, extended stay costs, insurance deductibles and co-pays, any future trips). If we profit over $1500 we will make donationsto the Ronald McDonald House Charities (Columbus OH, Nashville TN, andSeatle WA) inWyatt's name, to show ourgratitude for being our home, away from home.
This shirt was designed by Wyatt Osting's mom, in hopes to help educate others about Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and Congenital Heart Defects in general.

The details of the shirt: On the backside-
Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome
* A rare and severe heart defect that requires a series of open heartsurgery to ensure survival, and most require a heart transplant
* Most HLHS babies undergo their first surgery around a week old
* Structures on the left side are severely underdeveloped
* The HLHS heart is unable to pump oxygenated blood to the brain and vital organs
Congenital Heart Defect
1 in 100 babies are born with a Congenital Heart Defect
CHD is the most common cause of infant death.
Spread Hope.

Wyatt Wyatt Wyatt!!! Wyatt, meaning BRAVE and STRONG, or BRAVE in WAR. A fitting name for a Heart Warrior.
I first started this booster for our son, Wyatt Osting. I soon came across two other Wyatt's with the same condition!! Now all three Wyatt's will benefit from this booster! Each heart mom will split the profits evenly, and donations will still be made if we reach a goal of $1500! I cannot change the beneficiary information (or can't figure out how to update), but it will benefit Wyatt Osting, Wyatt Cox, and Wyatt Kline!

Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome is a rare andsevere heart defect whichrequires a series of surgeries in early childhood to ensure survival. The left structure of the heart is underdeveloped and is incapable of supplying oxygenated bloodto the brain and vital organs without the surgeries. Most HLHS survivors undergo a heart transplant (age varies due to each different person's heart functions). Mom found out he has HLHS when she was 26 weeks pregnant.Wyattwas born on Nov. 14, 2013, 6 weeks premature at Ohio State University Medical Center. He was immediately transferred to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus Ohio due to complications with having HLHS.At 5 days old, Wyatt underwent his first open heart, called the HybridProcedure, followed up by two cath procedures. Wyatt spent about almost one month in the ICU.On April 30th, 2014, he underwent the Comprehensive Stage II/Glenn procedure, followed up by an MRI and cath procedure, with a two week stay in the ICU.Wyatt is almost one, and is expected to receive the Fontan between the age of 18 months and 3 years old. His family stays at the Ronald McDonald House in Columbus for each procedure.
Side Note:The familymoved to North Carolina after the success of the Glenn, to be reunited with dad, who proudly serves in the United States Navy.

addtext_com_MjA0NDA1NDkyNTAjpgIntroducing Wyatt Cox!Wyatt was born on Nov. 6, 2013 with HLHS. Mom found out he has HLHS at 20 weeks pregnant. He had his Norwood at 6 days old and his Glenn at 5 months old. He has also had a heart cath and another corrective surgery that was not heart related. His surgeries were done at Vanderbilt in Nashville and the familylives in East Tennessee, close to Knoxville. The family called the Ronald McDonald House of Nashville their home for both surgeries while Wyatt recovered in the ICU.

addtext_com_MjA0OTMyNTQwMDkjpgIntroducing Wyatt Kline!Wyatt was born 8/23/2010. Mom found out he hasHLHS when she was 7 months pregnant. He had his first surgery at 4 days old, andthe Glenn at 6 months. He was not a candidate for the Fontan due to his leaky valve. Surgery wasattempted to fix it in July, 2011, but it didn't work and over time it wasn't getting better. So Wyatt waslisted on the transplant list February 2014. Herecieved the heart June 4th, 2014 at Seattle Children's Hospital. Wyatt's family stayed at the Ronald McDonald House for over 4 months. They are located in Fairview, Oregan.
