Washing Away Hunger

In June 2007, student council leaders from each of the Fargo-Moorhead area high schools got together and formed the Metro Student Council Ambassadors. As a group, they wanted to do something big, something to highlight their senior year of high school. A couple of phone calls, lots of donations and few espressos later, Fill The Dome was born. The goal? Fill the entire floor of the FARGODOME (80,000 sq. ft) with food for local food pantries.

This year, the Metro Area Student Ambassadors are carrying on the tradition by hosting the 17th Annual Fill The Dome event. Led by a group of outstanding young leaders from area schools, more than 50 schools will be raising food and funds to help those in need throughout the state of North Dakota as well as Clay County in Minnesota. In addition to seeking donations, Metro Area Student Ambassadors hope to make an impact through a new mission statement: Washing Away Hunger. The students hope to feed those in need, teach community members about the needs in our state and region, and develop a community where we care for and look out for the needs of each other.
