All funds raised will be paid directly to Washington State University Foundation for Rabies Free Africa Campaign, a WSU foundation through the WSU Paul G. Allen School for Global Animal Health. Providing vaccinations to dogs and public awareness/education to people in east Africa with the hope of eradicating Rabies entirely by 2030..

About this campaign

Pre-register by Oct 10 to guarantee t-shirt. Registration accepted up to day of event.
The run will be on campus starting and ending outside Bustad Hall. The run will head up Grimes Way around the Arboretum. The one mile section of the 5K around the Arboretum run will be a “zombie loop” where zombies (your friendly neighborhood vet students and others) will be eagerly waiting to snack on your brains! Each participant who registers and chooses to run the zombie loop will receive a capture the flag belt and attempt to make it through the loop with as many of their "lives"/flags intact as possible! Can you make it out alive?? Every person attending the race will receive 1 ticket for the prize drawing. If you are able to return to the registration desk at the end of the run with your belt intact after the zombie loop, you will receive 2 additional tickets for the prize drawing. We will also be giving away extra tickets for the prize drawing for those who show up in Halloween costumes!

This 5k run event promotes Rabies prevention and vaccination awareness to the public in support of the Rabies Free Africa campaign. All proceeds will be donated to this campaign to provide vaccines to dogs and public education to people in East Africa with the hope of eradicating Rabies by 2030.
