About this campaign

Historic Grounds is asking for your help in a fundraising effort to fund the remaining $800 for their wheelchair ramp addition. By purchasing sweatshirts and tshirts with their logo, this will assist in that effort for everyone to bring in their family members with disabilities

When Pat and Renee bought the historic building back in December 2012, they decided to open a place in the community where people could gather with their friends and family to enjoy a cup of coffee and baked goods. They have accomplished that goal and opened the doors to the public back in June 2013. Many of their customers have asked them to have wheelchair accessibility so they could bring in their grandparents, parents and family members with special needs into the building. Many of their parents and grandparents visited the ISCH stores back in the day. As requested, they contacted the Metamora woodshop department to assist in the build. Due to the building height from the driveway, it is necessary to have a very large ramp to work within the ADA specifications. The woodshop department is building the ramp as a project at no additional cost, however, the overall cost of supplies is $2300. They have currently raised $1500.00 as of this writing and are hoping to raise the additional $800 to have the project completed in early spring and most importantly prior to end of school year.
