About this campaign

T-shirts for the Richmond, Va JDRF One Walk

It has been a little over a year since our oldest son, Jackson, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). In just a short time, we have learned a lot about T1D; daily maintenance, treating lows/highs, learning about equipment like insulin pumps and Continuous Glucose Monitors. Most importantly, we have learned how to find a balance between Jackson's active lifestyle and keeping his glucose at a safe level. T1D is now part of our family. It is not always easy, and we all have a lot more to learn about living with T1D, but Jackson has not let it stop him from doing the things he loves. Although, Jackson has adjusted beautifully to living with T1D, it is a great responsibility especially for a teenager.

We are participating in the Richmond JDRF One Walk to help Jackson and other like him, make living with T1D easier until there is a cure!
