CALLING ALL HEALTH, WELLNESS & FITNESS LOVERS, CORPORATIONS, SMALL BUSINESSES, & ORGANIZATIONS!
Join Head to Speech Incorporated as we raise funds and awareness for sports concussion and the effects on cognitive-communication skills by purchasing our new Athleisure Clothing Line currently through Custom Ink! All of the proceeds from our clothing line will go towards Head to Speech Incorporated's programs, such as our Brain Workout & Brain Workout Meals Community! We invite ALL to our classes as we incorporate physical exercise with cognitive-communication tasks, brain health challenges, sports nutrition, and the mind diet in order to prevent or reduce cognitive decline. We can't wait to teach you our workout routines and share our recipes!

As a THANK YOU, we will invite you to our virtual Ribbon Cutting Fundraiser on Friday, November 19th where we will recognize DONORS LIKE YOU, give away samples of our Brain Workout Starter Pack, as well as introduce other programs, such as our awareness campaign, toolkit, and Academy courses.
In 2016, Tabia Pope, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, founded Head to Speech! (H2S) as a health communications initiative for her dissertation at Howard University. In 2019, H2S was incorporated and in 2021 we became an educational, scientific and charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Maryland!
We address the need for Head Injury & Effects on Cognitive-Communication Skills Awareness with a concentration in sports-related concussion impacting student-athletes, professional and former athletes, as well as their support systems. The current educational initiatives for sports concussion and other head injuries are primarily geared towards youth sports or emphasize the expertise of the coalition of medical professionals, athletic trainers and coaches.
Head to Speech Incorporated is the FIRST EVER nonprofit organization to focus on the impact that post-concussion syndrome has on student-athletes’, professional and former athletes' speech-language, hearing and cognitive-communication outcomes.
Our vision is to live in a world in which student-athletes, professional and former athletes, as well as their support systems impacted by sports concussion, HEAD TO SPEECH-language pathologists and audiologists. We do this through increased media sponsorships, educational partnerships and practitioner referrals in order for this community to receive education, counseling and timely identification, assessments, and interventions for speech, language, hearing and cognitive-communication disorders.
We aim to develop, monitor and improve upon sports concussion management initiatives from the perspective of speech-language pathologists and audiologists in the areas of policy and advocacy, preventative education, health communications, interprofessional education and collaborative practices, evidence-based research that supports best clinical practices and trends, and multicultural responsiveness for populations at high-risk of sustaining concussion and facing health disparities.
