Woof You! Mean It! Raising Funds for the Humane Society of Huron Valley!

In July 2014, Clare came to the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV), a NO KILL SHELTER, from a shelter in Mississippi that had planned to euthanize her. The angels who brought her all the way to Michigan were part of the Pet Smart charity, the "Rescue Waggin' as an 11-month-old scared, VERY underweight, sick puppy, and yearning for someone to love her. Ironically, this sweet baby, as much as she loves people, had been badly treated by people in her past.

On July 7th, 2 weeks after my beloved kitty, Livvy passed away, my 12-year-old son and I went to HSHV to visit with the animals. We didn’t live far from there, and it was something I loved to do, it felt good to go and give the animals love and attention. I think my son had another agenda.

We went into the dog area. My son was interested in another doggy, and I saw sweet Clare, looking so forlorn in her kennel. I fell in love with her instantly. My son fell in love with the other dog. We met the other dog first, but there wasn't a connection, he wasn't that interested in us. When we met with Clare, it was kismet (no pun intended, or is there? LOL). She INSTANTLY connected with my son, and showered him with endless kisses. Clare joined our family that day, and the rest is history.
