About this campaign
UPDATE: Another generous Zoo New England Board Member has offered to double your impact with an additional $1,000! That’s $12,000 in total for your Zoos.
For #GivingTuesday, we are challenging you to help us raise $12,000 today! The campaign ends at 11:59 p.m. tonight, November 28 and every donation will be matched up to $6,000 by three generous Zoo New England Board Members! That’s a total of $12,000 which will have a direct and tangible impact on our daily operations here at Zoo New England. All of our animals are incredible ambassadors for their species that we work hard to protect and sustain for future generations. A great example of this can be found in our snow leopards, Kira and Harry. This striking pair of big cats are part of a Species Survival Plan, which helps to ensure the survival of selected species in zoos and aquariums, most of which are threatened or endangered, and enhance conservation of these species in the wild.
Donate as little as $20 today and receive your limited edition snow leopard apparel!
Support Zoo New England’s mission to inspire people to protect and sustain the natural world for future generations by creating fun and engaging experiences that integrate wildlife and conservation programs, research, and education!
Researchers estimate that there are only between 3,500 and 7,000 snow leopards left in the wild. These animals, who are native to the mountain ranges of Central and South Asia, face multiple threats from poachers, decline of prey species, human encroachment on habitat, and retribution killings by herders looking to protect their livestock. Zoo New England is proud to support impactful conservation work on behalf of snow leopards and so many other species. By educating people, especially children, about the role they can play in healthy ecosystems, we hope to instill a lifelong love of nature and shared responsibility in preserving the planet's amazing biodiversity.

My daughter asked for this for Christmas. She loves animals, we live in New England and when she starts college in the fall her major will be zoology. Perfect gift for all!
