No one wants to surf or swim in dirty water nor get sick after a great day at the beach. But there are numerous threats to clean water and healthy beaches from polluted runoff water to offshore drilling and plastic in the ocean and trash on the shore. That’s why the Surfrider Foundation’s work is so critical. Surfrider is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's ocean, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network. Our network of chapters and youth clubs (all volunteers!) work to protect and fight for what we love — and our work is more important than ever.
