"This photograph was taken at Jones Beach; during the American Cancer Society Making Strides walk. In the picture you can see (right to left) my dad, myself, my mom, my moms high school friend, my co captain Ellie, and her family friend. Both Ellie's family friend and my mother were diagnosed with breast cancer, but now 5 years later they are both breast cancer free.
My sister and I started this team 5 years ago, and have continued since then. This was my first year being team captain, and I was able to raise 22,000 and my team 27,000.
This was very important to me because I know what breast cancer does to families and communities. While so much has been done, the chance is still very high, and many survivors risk having it again; sometimes even more aggressive. Along with this my sister has a much higher chance of having breast cancer, and even if she doesn't someone else's sister will be diagnosed.
I put in multiple days and weeks fundraising and CustomInk made my expierence very easy and smooth. I only needed 6 shirts and were able to have them done rush. I was also very impressed with how they reached out to me and helped my team with a donation. CustomInk clearly cares and I will definitely be ordering from them again. "
