"I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in May 2012and out of pain and confusion came Team Blacquepearl. We decided that we would join ACS help other women fight just as hard as my family helps me fight. "Team Ray was formed in 2010 in honor of my husband, Ray, who lost his life to pancreatic cancer. Team Ray has participated in the American Cancer Society's Fox Valley Walk and Roll every year since 2010. The Walk and Roll was held on May 11, 2013, and that is where the picture was taken. "Our school recently had a "Relay Recess" event and raised over $38,000.00 for The American Cancer Society. Our school-wide relay theme was "It Takes a Team to Save a Life" and each grade level represented a certain sport. First Grade chose basketball and we worked very hard to raise money for The American Cancer Society. Our team name is Crusaders For Curing Cancer and our theme was racing for a cure. Custom Ink was even nice enough to make a donation to our team.
