Polly: I doubt it Gulfstream5, it’s hardly Oscar Wilde is it? Nice one Gulfstream5 ok, I see I mnsoiderstuod you, you meant recession to mean that the man is hard up. But that's still a weird misreading are you positing that men usually have to offer a whole lot more materially to attract women? I read it as a quasi-punterish attitude to women, and as potentially conveying a coercive attitude because it implies what a woman is expected to do if the man buys her a drink.
