"This picture was taken at the Susan G Komen 5K in Columbus, Ohio. The team is made up of my Sunday School class "Awesome Adults" who began supporting this event last year after breast cancer touched close to home. We had a small team and tried to have shirts made locally and when I ran into many dead ends I tried customInk and they were AMAZING to work with. I will be using them again in the future! "This is the first time my team WAVES, Women.Athletes.Endurance.Sports, competed. It was a 5K race to benefit the emergency workers in a New Jersey Shore town after all the work they did during and after Hurricane Sandy. I was proud to be among one of the race sponsors and have some of my team members out to participate. Our shirts were perfect for the day and WAVES took on another significant meaning."
"I am a pediatric nurse working in a large children's hospital. My floor serves many specialties, and cystic fibrosis is one of them. These kids spend weeks and weeks at a time with us, so you can imagine that we get to know them and their families very well. As a nurse, it amazes me the risilience and bravery that these children possess. This is my second year I have led our unit in fundraising and raising awareness by taking part in our local Great Strides Event. Since only 30,000 children and young adults suffer with CF in the United States, it receives no federal funding. The search for a cure for these kids lies solely with us!
Our team was able to raise over 5000$ this year!
Our t-shirt was drawn and designed by one of our CF patients. It is a beautiful pair of lungs that reads: "Breathe" on the front, and "Keep Calm and Cure CF" on the back.

""The Muddy Britches" did The Dirty Girl Run in Snohomish WA on Saturday, May 18th. It was a 5K through muddy obstacles, all to raise money for cancer research. We have a team of 8 women, 3 of whom are cancer survivors.

"We came together to walk at the annual Boise Heart Walk in honor of my daughter Kenzie who we lost to dilated cardiomyopathy last December. We are striving to raise awareness and help to fund treatment and a cure, so hopefully other families will not have to go through what we did. I LOVED working with CustomInk to design these shirts!
