The shirts were ordered for the Juvenile Diabetes "2011 Walk For a Cure". The walk was a 5k walk at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. Our team is made up of family and friends of Dylan Klovenski. Dylan is a seventeen year old boy that was diagnosed 3 1/2 years ago at the age of thirteen with Type 1 diabetes (better known as juvenile diabetes). "This event was the JDRF walk to cure Juvenile Diabetes, on September 11, 2011. We participated in this walk because my little brother Jakeob was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 11 years old. So for the past two years we have participated in this walk to help further the knowledge about diabetes and to help donate money to research. "
"This is our second annual Walk to Cure Diabetes. We walk for our two sons: Aidan, age 6 and Collin, age 4 who both have Type 1 (juvenile) diabetes. 55 kids and adults walked at the Oakland Zoo this year, raising an unbelievable $10,635 to donate to the JDRF and their mission to find prevention, better treatment, and ultimately a CURE for Type 1 Diabetes. The joy on our children's faces was incredible...and everyone loved their Customink shirts! Team G-Force helped us show a great example, to all of our kids, about how to give something back. "This was Team Cozzens' second year to walk in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes, to support my children Andrew and Rachel who both have Type 1 diabetes. It was also the second year we wore the great quality T shirts printed at CustomInk. This year Rachel, age 10, wrote a letter inviting her classmates to walk with us, and they really responded!
