1) Protect all of IDEA—including Part D—in final FY27 appropriations.
2) Advance S.5046 so OSERS and core education functions stay in the U.S. Department of Education.


Rural communities can’t rebuild that federal capacity alone. This shirt backs the travel and advocacy costs of getting our voices in the room.

Isabelle and I are going to Washington, D.C., September 29?October 3, 2026.

We?re not going for a photo. We?re going with a narrow agenda: two issues, two asks.

Protect the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act?including the parts that build teachers, specialists, family support, and accessible materials. And keep special education leadership inside the Department of Education, where it belongs with schools?not pulled apart.

I?m a dad and advocate from Western Colorado. Isabelle is a blind young adult and self-advocate. Rural communities can?t rebuild that capacity alone. Lived experience belongs in the room when those decisions get made.
