About this campaign

For too long, symbols associated with a character I co-created have been co-opted by forces of oppression to intimidate black Americans. This character and symbol was never intended as a symbol of oppression. This is a symbol of a systematic failure of equal justice. It’s time to claim this symbol for the cause of equal justice and Black Lives Matter. —Gerry Conway

The creator of this art is Angel Rosado: "I am a native New Yorker. I would describe myself as a comic book geek which got me into drawing since childhood. My reason to join this cause cops and military don't get what the punisher logo really means and they shouldn't wear it on their uniforms since during peaceful protest all over the country. Officers of law enforcement should follow the oath they vowed to protect out neighborhoods and shouldn't use a vigilante symbol to bring justice their own way like the punisher which he represents what the justice system failed its job to do."

I love The Punisher & have proudly worn the skull for years. It feels great to see this symbol paired with the BLM movement, since it's been misrepresented for far too long by the wrong people in positions meant to serve & protect.

Dual purpose in supporting a good cause and hopefully change the way cops and military are both using this symbol. Long time comic book fan and even when I was young I could figure out that Frank did things in a highly illegal way.
