Honduras Missions Trip

Here’s a simple story of God leading and providing. Over the years I have been to many missions conferences and had always wanted to travel overseas to visit other countries. The Lord also used books written by missionaries like Elizabeth Elliot to deepen my desire to go. Over our colleges previous missions conference, the Lord opened a door for me to potentially go to Honduras this summer. The only issue was that the dates conflicted with weddings that I had commitments to be in. After praying about it, the Lord showed me how important it is to love the Lord’s people wherever you are. For me, that meant I was traveling the states and not the seas for this summer. I was confused because I thought the Lord was still leading me to Honduras. So I prayed that God would provide a way for me to go if it was his will. The next week, I was talking to a friend about how my summer plans had changed and how I was praying about wether or not I was supposed to go to Honduras. Funny thing… Her parents were the missionaries from Honduras!! She invited me to serve alongside them with a team over Christmas break. That means I would be able to stay longer than I would have this past summer. + I have more time to fundraise and practice my Spanish. How cool is that?! God is so so good.
