Comfort Colors 100% cotton tee in Ivory, designed by Colorado-local artist Blakeley Dunn. Shirts are printed once the fundraiser closes and ship directly to you. Every order helps get the band to Colorado this October.
Hi, I'm Kohanna. Colorado is such a special place for me. It's where I lived, made music in the mountains, and found some of my favorite people. Last November, I went on my first solo tour there, opening for Steph Strings. This year, we're going back with a self-booked tour and the whole band. No, we don't have a booking agency or grand label behind us to support this tour.
This came together thanks to three of us: my college friend and musician, Jude Shaw, from the band Santa Ana Rodeo, and my manager Thomas, who I met at SXSW. I remember sitting down months ago for just about 10 hours straight, finding contact info and spreadsheeting out over 300 venues across Colorado. This October, we're bringing the band on the road, instruments and all, for our first full band tour, The "Where We Going" Tour. It closes out The Colorado Project, a 17-song double album about, figuring out who you were, who you became, and you are now.
Here's where we're headed: A house show in Westcliffe, CO (Oct 13), playing with local musicians Lewis Cash Turner and Christopher Morse in Fort Collins at The Atrium (Oct 14), opening for The Takes in Denver with Drift Rd at Globe Hall (Oct 16), thanks to our friends in Santa Ana Rodeo, bringing the music to Carbondale in Steve’s Guitars (Oct 17), a fundraiser for Casting for Recovery in Boulder, CO at Velvet Elk Lounge (Oct 19), and then heading back to our old stomping grounds at Rosetta Hall in Boulder, CO (Oct 20).
My best friend Lucia Johnson (https://lucia-johnson.com/) is coming along too, capturing videos and photos so you can follow every stop with us.
This shirt was designed by Blakeley Dunn (https://www.blakeleydunndesigns.com), a Colorado-local artist. The red sun reflects my grandmother and my Japanese heritage. On the back is every member of the band, all five of us, because they're the whole reason we do this. We make music together because we love it, and the people we play for get to share in that same experience. We're all there to be with the music. We don't have a booking agency or a label funding us. We just want to get out there, meet you, and make music together.
If you can't be in the room with us, grab a shirt and support the tour from wherever you are. By buying a shirt, you're helping put a roof over our heads, gas in the car, and food on the table while we're on the road. In return, you get a locally designed shirt, and you'll be part of the trip with us. We're so grateful for every one of you!
Thank you for being here. PICK ME UP, WHERE WE GOING!
