Mamatoto Village

Mamatoto Village is proud to launch “Maternal Health is Everyone’s Business,” a bold campaign that reframes maternal health from a private experience into a shared communal responsibility. Because when Black mothers thrive, our entire community thrives. Every dollar raised helps support our mission to improve perinatal health outcomes for mothers, babies, and families in the D.C. region and beyond.

Mamatoto Village is a D.C. based nonprofit committed to improving Black maternal health outcomes and supporting Black women and families throughout their perinatal and postpartum journeys. Mamatoto offers a variety of services, including perinatal home visiting, community doula care, childbirth education, lactation support, perinatal mental health services, and workforce development for future and current maternal health professionals. We also advocate for systemic change by amplifying the voices of Black mothers through advocacy and community engagement, all driven by a mission to reduce health disparities and foster a more justice-centered maternal health care landscape.
