About this campaign

Help support Sonny Kim Sensei's family by purchasing a t-shirt. All funds raised will go directly to the Kim family.

Japanese Karate Do mourns the loss of a great man: a great husband, a great father, a great police officer, and a great sensei!

On the morning of June 19, 2015 Cincinnati Police Department Officer Sonny Kim responded to a call in the Madisonville neighborhood, not far from his home, for a man erratically waving a gun in the street. After coming into contact with the armed individual, Officer Kim, 49 years old and a respected 27 year veteran was shot and killed.

In addition to his role as a Cincinnati Police Officer, Sonny Kim was the sensei at Japanese Karate Do dojo. Sonny Kim leaves behind a wife and three children. In order to help support his family, the dojo is selling t-shirts. All funds raised will go directly to Sonny Kim Sensei's family.

I was fortunate to know and train Karate in the same room as Sensei Kim, one of the subjects of conversation we had was my Son-in-law who is a police officer here in Atlanta. The JKA Atlanta DoJo grieves for Sonny
