"We have to flush ourselves in?"
The Potterhead Running Club is pleased to present the second event of the 2020 season:
Undesirable No. 2! (It's a 10k.)
Our seventh year continues with the infiltration of the Ministry through the “standard employee entrance” -- the Whitehall underground public toilets -- that the Trio used during their hunt for horcruxes. Disguised as Hopkirk, Cattermole, and Runcorn, they managed to get Slytherin’s Locket, free multiple Muggle-borns awaiting trial, and reclaim Moody's magical eye from Umbridge. (Quite a busy day!)
Your registration includes this “poo-tiful” 3" medal featuring a liftable lid! (How else are you going to get into the Ministry?) As with every PHRC medal, all registrants also receive the beautiful custom sublimated ribbon, and the always-popular personalized digital bib!
Ever think about what makes toilets so special?
We may think of them as a necessity, but on a global scale, toilets are magical gateways that can actually lead people to health, education and freedom. When every household has a kitchen, tap, a toilet, and a shower, children are healthier, girls can attend school, and families prosper.
We are thrilled to announce that our charity partner for this event is Water1st International! Their mission is simple: supporting piped water systems.
Can you imagine having to walk three to five miles each day to collect water for your family? Women and girls around the world do this daily, sometimes multiple times a day. Water1st supports permanent clean water and toilet projects in Ethiopia, Honduras, Bangladesh, and Mozambique. Their projects not only provide access to clean water, but they give women and girls their time back. This month, your walk, run, etc is in solidarity with the over 1 billion women and girls who carry water each day for their families.
"Blooming pain in the bum, this, eh? Forcing us all to get to work this way!"
If you’ve ever experienced a race port-a-potty, you know the value of clean toilet facilities. If you rock this shirt at your next race, you might find a few runners following you in the search for a magical (and clean) toilet! Available in multiple fabrics and styles from tees, to tanks, to hoodies, proceeds will also support Water1st!
