About this campaign
We help the animals that are overlooked—the older, the broken, the not-so-popular—we fix them medically, we nurture them for behaviors, and we seek out the most special forever homes for them. That is why we truly are their last chance at life. Your donations provide medical care, housing, training, food and supplies to the animals in our care.
Thank you so much to Ms. Juliano and the students at Studio 903 at Mission Vista High School, who created and donated this design to us. We can't get over their generosity or creativity!
About Us
In the early 2000s, animal lover and advocate Lisa Hamilton founded a small rescue called Boxers ‘N Birds Rescue. Over the years as the rescue grew larger with volunteers, the number of animals being saved from year to year also grew, and the rescue was formed into 501(c)3 nonprofit (GuideStar Verified) and changed its name to “Last Chance at Life All Breed Rescue & Adoptions.” We now take in canines of all breeds and birds, and we save and find homes for as many as 200 animals each year. We have an adoption center/kennel facility in Oceanside, California, where animals are cared for several times per day by our team of amazing volunteers. Many of our dogs and birds are also in foster homes. Our focus is on dogs with medical needs, and we take animals of all ages, including seniors.

We have an LCAL rescue called Liesel and really appreciate everything you guys did for her!
We adopted our sweet boxer Grace after she had been dropped off as a young puppy with Parvo. She was cared for and beat her illness after two months of waiting. She is now 7 and is living the life with her bulldog brother and humans. Thank you all!!

We adopted our precious Jenny from LCAL 2 years ago and she has been such a joyful addition to our family!
LCAL is just an incredible organization. Not only did they rescue my girls, Harper and Luna, but I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing firsthand how LCAL has saved lives, rehabilitated sick animals, and made families complete.
