About this campaign
"Fine day, Sunday. Best day of the week, in my opinion. Know why I say that, Dudley?"
Potterhead Running Club is thrilled to present the first event of the 2021 season:
No Post On Runday 5k!
SIGN UP NOW: https://rantue.z2systems.com/event.jsp?event=657&;
Your registration includes this beautiful 3" medal featuring the flood of letters that marked the beginning of Harry's magical journey! As with every PHRC medal, all registrants also receive the beautiful custom sublimated ribbon, and the always-popular personalized digital bib!
"'I want to read it,' said Harry furiously, 'as it’s mine.'"
Living with the Dursleys, Harry's future looked bleak; but when he was given the opportunity to get his magical education, everything changed.
Our charity partner for this event is the Adult Literacy League!
The Adult Literacy League helps 2,500 adults every year with Adult Basic Education, English Language classes, GED preparation, and one-on-one volunteer tutoring. The opportunity they make possible for thousands of people is a form of magic itself!
Our support of the Adult Literacy League will help pay for workbooks, textbooks, and other important student materials. It will be like helping first years fill their cauldrons in preparation for a wonderful new journey of learning!
"Experts are unable to explain why the owls have suddenly changed their sleeping pattern."
Owl Post is at the very heart of magical communication and information, and as we've seen here in the PHRC, is as essential as anything could be. What do they care about the day of the week, when there's work to be done? Honor our fine feathered fleet with the No Post on Runday 5k event shirt!
Available in multiple fabrics and styles from tees, to tanks, to hoodies, proceeds will also support the Adult Literacy League!
Remember that this is a 'virtual' active event, so you can complete your five kilometer distance however, wherever and whenever you want! How? You can walk, run, skip, dance, or saunter. Where? You can do it around your neighborhood, on the treadmill, or on your favorite trail. When? You can do it on a Monday night, a Thursday morning, or a Saturday afternoon. It's all up to you!
For some extra fun, the optional 'run day' for the event is January 30: Lily's birthday! If you want to join thousands of others around the world completing some or all of the distance on that day, you'll be in some magical company!
Potterhead Running Club is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to changing the muggle world, one mile at a time. Join us on Facebook or on our website.
