About this campaign
June is National Dysphagia Awareness Month - a statute passed by Congress in 2008 thanks to strong advocacy by the National Foundation of Swallowing Disorders and many others in the swallowing disorder community - including patients, caregivers, clinicians, and researchers.

this is a great organization to support people with dysphagia!
For our daughter, Kyleigh, and all others like her that have trouble swallowing.
It is a great way to give information to others about swallowing disorders and suggestions for help for them.
I became an SLP at the age of 40 after being a caretaker for my Aunt who suffered from PSP. Having experienced watching a loved one endure dysphagia, I became motivated to learn more and help others with the same disorder.
I am a patient with severe esophageal dysphagia.
