About this campaign
I am saddened to pass on the news that my friend David left the planet this morning, March 3. Thank you to everyone who purchased a tee and donated to the fundraiser. It will help his girls — his wife Joanie and his daughter Rosanne — not have to think about money at this sad time. Bills are still pouring in and there will of course be final expenses. I thought of turning this off but have been encouraged to keep it going for his girls, so I will.

Mr Dave has been my favorite guitar player and - along with Gabby Pahinui - biggest musical inspiration. I play the way that I do and the instruments I play thanks to him. Mahalo a Aloha, Mr Dave and family.

Saddened to hear of David Lindley’s passing. I was a huge fan, and got to meet him a couple times. His music will live forever. I hope to help his family, although this is a very small step.

David has always been my all time favorite musician
A fan since 1966, Also dug his sense of humor (and sense of style). When he asked (at a small El Rayo-X show) for requests no one else responded, and sitting about 8 feet from Mr. Dave I said, “Cuckoo!l” A big Dave grin & twinkle in his eye.
Longtime fan of both the man and the musician. Thankful I was able to see David perform live as many time as I need. Thankful I took an interest from the first time I heard him.
