About this campaign
Joris is in his fifth year of fundraising for N/a'an ku sê, a wildlife sanctuary in Namibia whose innovative approaches to solving human-carnivore conflict situations are having an immediate impact to local wildlife populations.
All money raised il go directly to the sanctuary's research department.
Seattle area orders are welcome to have shirts delivered to Joris' house in Ballard and picked up there to save on shipping costs. People who will be at N/a'an ku sê on or after July 27, 2018 can order and use Joris' address as well; we'll either bring them or do a N/a'an ku sê shipment (if we get a lot of orders)!
Please check out the list of countries Booster ships to; more countries are now included!
Last fall Joris was honored to be a Gloria Barron Prize recipient. He donated his $5000 prize money to N/a'an ku sê, and the award prompted interviews with print magazines TIME for Kids and Animal Talk and an appearance on the Seattle morning show New Day Northwest. This year, Joris has been focusing on outreach and awareness. We started www.kids4cheetahs.com and Joris jumped into social media as well. You can follow him on Instagram and Facebook at kids4cheetahs.
In October of 2016, Joris flew to San Francisco to present at the Young Eco Hero Awards. You can watch his presentation on cheetah conservation below.

We have volunteered at Na/ankuse and it was one of the greatest experiences of our lives. The work that Marlice and Rudie does is nothing less than extraordinary.
Great cause! I l also love to see our youth driving important initiatives like this.
I believe it is out absolute responsibility to protect the creatures of our world that cannot protect themselves.
I support this campaign because I admire Joris' passion! He's an awesome kid. :)
N/a’an ku sê is such a wonderful sanctuary and it was an honour to have stayed there and met some of the staff.
We were treated to a day at N/a’an ku sê by my mother the last time we were in Namibia for a visit. Absolutely love the work you guys do and it is so great to have been able to see the animals up close, yet in nature. Keep it up
My son is a third year vet student at Cornell U of Veterinary Medicine who has worked on several wildlife conservation projects and trips. I know he will love raising awareness about the work being done at N/aankuse Sanctuary.
