About this campaign
HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE VETERAN'S DAY 5K:
The purchase of a t-shirt constitutes entry into the Veteran's Day Virtual 5K and is a donation to Veteran Outdoor Alliance, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. T-shirt orders should be fulfilled by Custom Ink approximately 2 weeks after the event closes.
Additional donations are welcome and greatly appreciated! There will be an opportunity to donate an amount of your choosing in the Custom Ink checkout process as well as the race registration website.
All funds raised go directly towards helping veterans get outdoors to reconnect with their veteran peers and utilize the power of outdoor experiences to re-balance the mind, body, and spirit.

The TOP 10 recorded times will receive a Veteran Outdoor Alliance challenge coin!
The TOP PLACING Male and Female competitors will receive a rare blacked out version of the challenge coin, made specifically for event winners!
Proceeds from this event will be directed toward facilitating the Spring 2021 Florida Keys Scuba Diving Expedition to certify veterans as PADI open water scuba divers and explore one of the country’s most scenic locations for diving. This trip will be facilitated by two Veteran Outdoor Alliance leaders as certified PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors volunteering their time to teach and certify the new veteran divers.
Scuba diving is a great way for veterans to reconnect with their peers in an adventurous team-building environment that can also serve as a peaceful and therapeutic escape. Veterans leaving the military had to say farewell to their "battle-buddies", but can regain a similar sense of camaraderie through scuba by meeting and adventuring with new dive-buddies!
Besides the vast anecdotal evidence reported by veteran divers on the benefits of scuba (including three of our VOA leaders who have worked professionally in the scuba industry), recent studies have highlighted the various medical benefits of scuba diving for veterans as described here in Dive Magazine -
