Wear the Joy: A Fundraiser for Celebration of Joy — Black Joy

The Celebration of Joy — Black Joy began as a simple but powerful dream between two friends who wanted to create a space for Black women in Sonoma County to experience joy, affirmation, and belonging. Last year, that dream became reality when 50 Black women gathered—many for the first time in a space created just for them. The experience was powerful, healing, and unforgettable.

Because joy is contagious, the vision has grown.

This year, we are expanding the Celebration of Joy — Black Joy to include Black men, women, and children, creating an intergenerational community experience rooted in culture, creativity, and connection. While we are not a nonprofit organization, this is a deeply community-centered effort. Last year, the founders personally covered the event costs. This year, we are inviting the community to help us grow the celebration and extend its impact.
