Organ and tissue transplant procedure costs range from $100,000 to more than $900,000. Once a transplant is complete, families face significant transplant-related expenses that add up to tens of thousands of dollars annually, with lifetime totals exceeding $1,000,000. The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) is a national 501(c)3 charity that helps children and young adults who need a life-saving transplant by providing fundraising assistance and support. COTA’s priority is to assure that no child or young adult is denied a life-saving transplant or excluded from a transplant waiting list due to lack of funds. COTA does not charge for its services. 100% of funds raised in honor of patients are available for transplant-related expenses for a patient’s lifetime.
