"This picture shows just how happy we are! My first graders have worked so hard this year! I wanted to surprise them with t-shirts for their hard work that not only celebrated our efforts but left a reminder to be confident and positive. All year we had a yellow sun with shades that hung in our classroom. That sun was there to remind us to work hard, be happy and to have fun! It was only fitting that I had the sun printed on their shirts with the phrase "My future is so bright I have to wear shades!" Each student was able to tye-dye their shirts and sign their names on the backs. We wore them on our last day of school for 'fun day'. We are so proud!
