Innovators Assemble

"This is the lead planning team for an event called Crystal Innovation Day. This was a day where students formulated their own learning plan and then spent all day creating a project or presentation or performance of whatever it is they chose to spend the whole day working on and learning about. Teachers acted only as advisors and facilitators. We did this with the whole school, 950 students, sixth to eighth grades. It was the first time we'd done it, and the first time we've ever heard of it on a whole-school scale; it took about 80 man-hours to plan and implement, and it was all worth it because in the end it was brilliant." - http://www.fsusd.org/Domain/12 - Joshua (Jun 01, 2013)
