"Last Spring my 9 year old cousin William was struck suddenly seriously ill and was hospitalized in the Washington, DC Children's Hospital ICU with encephalitis. For a week we were not certain if he would survive, and - if he did - if he would be left with permanent brain damage. Fortunately the doctors and nurses at Children's were able to save him and he is a thriving 4th grader today. My brother pulled together 'Team William' to help raise funds for the annual Children's 5K. Team members included family and staff from my brother's veterinary clinics."
