"Family and friends walked in the March for Babies on May 1 in West Windsor, NJ in honor of Evan Timothy. Evan was born 14 weeks too early at 2 lbs 5 oz and 14 in long. He spent 112 days in the NICU before coming home. Evan is a medically complex child and fights every day so we created "Fight like a Preemie" shirts to remind us of that. It was a cold and rainy day, but we didn't let that stop us from walking 3.1 miles in honor of Evan and other babies who were born premature. It is hard to believe that 1 in 10 babies is born too soon. The March of Dimes provides NICU support to families, raises awareness and supports education and research.
