"I ran the Long Beach, CA marathon on 10/9/2011 and dedicated it to the children we met during our daughter's life-saving bone marrow transplant. I also raised awareness for Marrow.org where people can register their marrow to help save children and adult's lives through a very simple and pain-free registration process. Lastly we raised money for a vital organization called the Matthew and Andrew Akin Foundation."
