Dear All
We write to you in regards to our friend, Cathrine Zarn who has been a special light in our lives for a long time.
Her contagious energy, colorful spirit and genuine friendship has helped so many of us over the years. Cat has always had our backs and it is now time we have hers. Many of you reading this, are aware of the heart wrenching medical journey that Cat has been on for the past 3 years. In the fall of 2016, Cat was diagnosed with cervical cancer, which changed our 36 year old friend's life forever. However, Cat was determined to fight this terrible disease from day one by going through rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and other trial treatments. As many cancer patients and family members of cancer patients know, there is never the right words to say besides wishing, hoping and praying it all just goes away.
Unfortunately, the reality is this - Cat's cancer has not gone away. It is actually getting worse.
This week Cat received more bad news regarding her diagnoses and treatments. While the trial treatment that she is currently on has helped reduce the size of some of her tumors, the cancer is still spreading and growing. Cat being the true fighter that she is, has decided that she wants to still kick cancers ass even with or without the doctors help. She has been researching all of her options and has found a treatment center in Santa Barbara that has seen great results. With her disability and insurance soon to run out, we have started this page to help keep her alive.
We are asking you to help us fight for our friend and that you share this across your social media platforms (#CatStrong).
Our goal is $20k. This should cover the treatment for a week and her stay at the facility in Santa Barbara.
Please help us get to our goal and make Cat healthy again! If you plan to donate, Cat sends you all her gratitude and appreciation during this terrible time. Your support is what gives her the biggest hope as she fights for her life.
