About this campaign

All proceeds from sales of the t-shirts and/or donations will go for 2018-19 Tracy (MN) Area high school scholarships in the names of the nine people killed in the 1968 tornado.

On June 13, 1968, an F5 tornado struck the town of Tracy, Minnesota, killing nine people and injuring 150 others. This year marks the 50th anniversary of that tornado and an event will be held on Saturday, June 9 to honor those killed and injured, as well as for all those who worked to restore the community. Order your shirt today and please wear it to the anniversary event.

I lived it and it’s affected me since then. I’m still the first one in the basement and I think it’s important to remember

I lived in Tracy at this time about 1 block away from the tornado. I was only 2 at the time.

My family has a scholarship we give each year to a Tracy graduate and I support any help for education. I also lived through the tornado.

I remember the tornado well. Our Dad, Julius DeBlieck, was the dispatcher who set the siren off to warn Tracy residents. Terrible storm.
