About this campaign

All proceeds from sales of the t-shirts and/or donations will go for 2018-19 Tracy (MN) Area high school scholarships in the names of the nine people killed in the 1968 tornado.

On June 13, 1968, an F5 tornado struck the town of Tracy, Minnesota, killing nine people and injuring 150 others. This year marks the 50th anniversary of that tornado and an event will be held on Saturday, June 9 to honor those killed and injured, as well as for all those who worked to restore the community. Order your shirt today and please wear it to the anniversary event.

The tornado developed just west of where we were staying that summer. I remember watching it as it headed to the northeast. Very scary.

Lived on the "lucky" side of town. Helped neighbor Ken Drever cut meat for the volunteer workers at Ken's grocery store.

I grew up in Tracy. I am a RN and I volunteered at the Tracy Hospital for 3-4 days after the tornado. My mom Eva Lou O' Brien worked w/ the Red Cross. My sister Jackie was in Europe with her high school French class.
