About this campaign

All proceeds from sales of the t-shirts and/or donations will go for 2018-19 Tracy (MN) Area high school scholarships in the names of the nine people killed in the 1968 tornado.

On June 13, 1968, an F5 tornado struck the town of Tracy, Minnesota, killing nine people and injuring 150 others. This year marks the 50th anniversary of that tornado and an event will be held on Saturday, June 9 to honor those killed and injured, as well as for all those who worked to restore the community. Order your shirt today and please wear it to the anniversary event.

I was 7 years old and living in Tracy at the time of the tornado. I was lucky that our home was spared, but I do remember friends of my parents who were not as lucky. The night of this tornado has always stuck with me.
