Detroit Mower Gang

"Every other Wednesday, The Detroit Mower Gang gets together to mow the abandoned playgrounds of Detroit. We are a crafty crew that refuses to let small budgets and bureaucracy stand in the way of a great playground. This week, we joined with Focus: HOPE, an organization dedicated to intelligent and practical solutions to the problems of hunger, economic disparity, inadequate education, and racial divisiveness, to offer the service of our blades toward their massive revitalization project in HOPE Village called "Keep It 100!". 15,000 volunteers came together to clean up vacant lots, board abandoned homes and introduce new rain gardens, public art and trees to the neighborhood. The DMG helped by mowing and clearing brush to tame the thickest parts of urban jungle. Oh yeah, and we did it on the hottest day of the year! 92 degrees with up to 93% humidity was still no match for our gang. We kicked grass and CustomInk helped!
