National Brain Tumor Walk, Saturday, June 15, 2013

"Jess Geronimo, my husband and Team Captain had a brain tumor surgery in January 2011 and was diagnosed with the most active tumor - gliomablastoma. But glad to say that he is a SURVIVOR! Last June 2011, we heard about the National Brain Tumor (NBTA) Walk and decided to join as a family which was a total of 4. It was a walk that became close to our hearts and promised to participate every year. This year 2013, we had a goal - to have a team. Remembering the survivors that we saw last year during the walk and families and friends that we heard that are in one way or the other battling their own fight, that's how TEAM JESS ETC was born. We created a team that will walk not only for Jess but for all the people including the ones that we don't know. The attached picture was taken during the NBTA walk on Saturday, June 15, 2013. This was held on Governors Island. Knowing that we will have a team, we were not sure on how to go about having a team t-shirt. A friend of mine gave the website of CustomInk. Still hesitated in placing the order, I played around with the website and familiarized myself on how to make the t-shirt sign and the cost. The website was customer friendly. That made me feel comfortable to start creating the team logo. Of course, still not satisfied, I wanted to speak with customer service. Wow, everyone who I spoke with before - during - after the making of the t-shirts are so nice and helpful. I really appreciate the fact that they make sure and get your approval before doing anything. Keeps you posted by email and giving you updates. That makes you feel that you are having a one on one person who is always there for you. With that, we will definitely be back next year and for many years to come until we can walk.
