"The event was held in Ottawa, Ohio for Sts. Peter and Paul School Fund. It was a 5K to raise funds for my grandkids' school. The shirts and message on the front and back were to promote heart health and to honor my mother who died after open heart surgery last Sept. 21st, 2013. I started thinking of this idea and using your company not long after, since my son had just run this race in Oct., '13. My idea also was to run the race myself since I had just had open heart surgery 4 months before my mother and wanted to prove I could do this and get into better healthy shape. My entire family joined me for the race, including my husband, Wes and daughter, Jennifer who walked (he has Parkinson's and she is pregnant). My son, Chad came in 4th overall and 1st in his age group. My dtr-in-law Andrea ran it in 27 mins.! My younger dtr. Meighan ran her 1st race ever and came in 2nd in her age group at 29 mins.! Even my 4 y/o grand dtr., Ava and almost 2y/o grandson, Alex ran in the Diaper Dash and Ava came in 1st place! I didn't do as well, but I finished the race and 2 others finished after me! We even had a friend of the family, Michele come up from Hilliard to run with us! It was a fun day! Several people actually commented on how neat our shirts were! They turned out really terrific!
