2017 Walk to Defeat ALS - Team Dita

"The Triangle Walk to Defeat ALS raised over $450,000.00 (NC Chapter). Team Dita (our team) raised over $5,300 (so far)! We walked in honor and memory of Dita Ann McGaughey (12/20/1937-2/27/2017). Having resided in CT for many decades before retiring to NC, Dita loved watching the UCONN Huskies womens basketball games. The front of our t-shirts were born from that. "UCONN Make a Difference," as in you can make a difference by contributing to the research to find a cure for this terrible disease. Eleven of us were at this location, others walked as far away as Huntington Beach, CA. Many walked in the CustomInk shirts. At the walk, everyone loved the shorts and a comment was made that they thought our little group was much larger because they saw people in our t-shirts "everywhere!"
