A world without type 1 diabetes!!

"Five years ago my son josh was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and I immediately became active with JDRF. I have taken on the role of the walk chair for Boca raton fl along with being the family liaison each year. I am committed to raising money to find a cure and until then to find a better solution to help keep Josh's blood sugars in better control. Each year our team grows bigger and bigger. Only part of our team is featured in the picture. I made a promise to josh when he was diagnosed that I would do what I could to find a cure. This year we raised over $2600. Josh is 14 years old so as you could imagine being a teen is hard enough but being a teen with diabetes is a challenge. Josh is a really great kid and takes the diagnosis in stride and never complains but I know he struggles with the challenges he faces. As his mom I worry not only about the day to day challenges of low and high blood sugars but the long term effects of diabetes. This is the second year that we have worn the shirts made by your custom ink team. Last year the shirt won second place in the tshirt contest. When we originally designed the shirts the gentleman I worked with was amazing. He turned my sons vision into an amazing design. We loved it so much that we decided to wear the same shirts this year. The custom ink staff is always so upbeat and a pleasure to work with. When I received the email about custom ink donating to Jdrf I was blown away!! I tell everyone about custom Ink and the wonderful experience I had. Thank you for the opportunity to submit the picture. If we win I plan to donate the money to Josh's play station 4 wish list fund.
