Avon Walk Youth Crew Rocks New York

"This photo was taken just before the Closing Ceremony of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer New York, a 39.3-mile Event that took place October 6th and 7th. This Avon Walk was the largest ever...the Event's 3900 participants raised $10.2 million! The Avon Walk Youth Crew was a pilot program in New York this year, allowing young people (ages 10-16) to participate and experience the entire Event. This program suggests that young people are capable of contributing to the Event, can get an enormous amount out of the service, and can enhance the experience of all Walk participants--as the Youth Crew says, "we're too young to walk, but we're not too young to care."
